The Makeup School Sydney is a nationally recognized Certificate 2 Course (WBRF202B) in Design and Apply Makeup. The content and teaching of this course is overseen by the Australian Quality Training Federation.
It is an extensive 6 week program that teaches the theory and practice of beauty makeup. (See Course Content) The course trains students to a level where they have the potential to work within the lucrative fashion and wedding makeup industry. It is a combination of comprehensive theory, demonstrations and practice with professional models.
Makeup School Sydney is a boutique makeup college with very small student classes. A lot of time is devoted to one-on-one instruction and discussion with each student. The minimum age requirement is 16 years.

What is the Makeup School Sydney course experience like?
Each of the 3 hour weekly classes at the Makeup School Sydney course is very intensive. There is a lot of theory, detailed demonstrations and many practical exercises.
The course has a defined structure, (see Course Content) and the teacher- student relationship is very professional. However the atmosphere is pleasant and very friendly; like it is in a working situation.

Where is the Makeup School Sydney course held?
The course is held at our makeup college Sydney at Unit 7, The Horizon Building, 180 Forbes St, Darlinghurst NSW. There is 2 hour free parking in the street and also Visitor’s Parking within the Horizon Building. The Horizon is 5 mins walk from Kings Cross Train Station.
When more than 5 students are enrolled, the course location is held in the city at a serviced office with parking facilities.
How do I become a Makeup Artist?
To become a makeup artist in the fashion and wedding makeupindustry, you first need to complete an accredited course Certificate 2 in Design and Apply Makeup (WBRFS202B). Makeup School Sydney is such as course.
After completing this course, you then need to create a portfolio of professional-looking pictures of your work.
Once you have about a dozen pictures in a portfolio, you can take it to a Makeup Agency. If they like your work, they will then promote you in the fashion industry. You can also set up your own website and present your work online.

Once you have completed the Certificate 2 in Apply and Design Makeup from Makeup School Sydney, you have the accreditation and skill to work in any area where makeup is required, except Special FX makeup.

What is the cost of the Makeup School Sydney course?
The course costs $1950 for the full 6 weeks. There are 6 lessons, each of 3 hrs, over this period.. There is a special exam on the 7th week.
A deposit of $250 is payable when you apply and is deducted from the full amount on commencement. There is also a pay-as-you-go facility. If a student can not attend the course they can cancel and receive a full refund until 3 weeks before the course commences. After that the deposit is not refundable.
If you refer a friend that starts the same course as you , you will receive a discount of 20% off your course fee. This is great value.
